Kathmandu, Oct. 2: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya, has said a conspiracy was hatched under the influence of national and international powers to sideline the 33 party’s front from the election.
Addressing a cultural programme in the capital city on Wednesday, Chairman Baidya said although the CPN-Maoist and the 33-party front were flexible enough to solve problems, the government closed door for talks.
He said, “33-party front could participate in the Constituent Assembly election once the content of the new constitution were discussed and agreed from a roundtable conference.”
However, Chairman Baidya said his party and the front were committed to intensifying election boycott programmes. He pointed out a need of unity among the nationalists and patriotic leftists.
On the occasion, General Secretary of the Samana Sanskritik Pariwar, Maila Lama, informed that the party had initiated a cultural campaign to reach people and inform them of party activities. RSS
