
Kathmandu, Oct. 27: Former lawmaker Ram Chandra Pyasi Kuswaha and two others were arrested on the charge of murdering Constituent Assembly (CA) polls candidate of the CPN (UML) from Bara Constituency No. 4 Mahmud Alam.
Indian nationals Atik Khan and Raju Shreebastav along with UML national representative council member Kuswaha were arrested on the charge of murdering Alam, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police said on Sunday.
Issuing a press statement, the CIB said that the alleged trios were made public by the District Police Office, Bara.
The CIB said that the police has sufficient evidences regarding the hands of alleged in the murder case.
Police said that the alleged hired sharp shooters from India to kill the UML leader Alam.
Alam, who was shot at along the Pathalaiya-Birgunj road section on October 4, died after a week in Kathmandu while receiving treatment.
According to RSS Bara district correspondence, the CIB said that alleged Kuswaha had planned to murder Alam for last six months. RSS
